I played the game a only few times many years ago and would like to give it a try again and possibly join a club. My partner would like to try it also ? I live in the Dublin area on the southside, near to Rathfarnham and Terenure and of course like everyone else, weekends are when I would have most free time and I'm sure that's when it is busiest in the various clubs.
Thanks,
Niall

Hi Niall where do you live, if its belfast you would be welcome to try ewarts. You are right when you say Saturday is busy for teams but you would be welcome to play any Sunday, and indeed we have a few open days each year for new people to try it out. We always get a few new members each year this way

Hi Niall, I am a member of Falls Bowling Club and we host 'taster days' every Sat morning during May. You would both be very welcome to come down and give it a go. We also have a beginners 'fun' league throughout the year to help new members get to know each other.
Info will be posted on our website closer to the time: www.fallsbowling.club

Hi Niall, if you don't live in Belfast but are more a country lad then feel free to drop in to Old Bleach in Randalstown - as all the above have said Saturday is the main day of the week in the bowling calendar but you never know you could get involved with a team yourself. Our green is due to open again on the last Saturday in March and you would be most welcome to come along. Check out our website - www.oldbleachbowlingclub.co.uk - for details and location.

Thank you all for your suggestions and offers, I live in Dublin so I've amended the post to reflect this. However if I am in either Belfast or Randalstown I will be sure to drop by. Thanks again. Niall
