Just a word to the very small number of bowlers who think so highly of themselves that they feel the need to interfere in matters that don't concern them. In a recent match , one such person felt the need to challenge the declaring of a head (agreed by both thirds) on a rink that he himself was not even playing on! He then accused the opposition of "bullshitting" and "bad sportsmanship", a theme he carried into the after match refreshments, even when it was patently obvious he was talking garbage. Just soured what was, up until then, a very enjoyable and friendly encounter. So, to any other bad apples out there, wise up and think about why you play the game. Don't spoil it for everyone else.

I'm a firm believer that bowls is a team game and that involves all team members, if this happened on the same rink then I think there is a fair point "as it's a team game on each rink" but for someone to interfere from the other rink is wrong. Some thirds think their the only player on the team and need to remember it's 4 vs 4 and 16 vs 16 over all. Again dinosaur rules ?
