Sunday should be the way forward for PGL cup/competitions games would solve all the congestion on league games.

Totally agree with the guvnor, more and more league games being played on Sundays , That would give us an extra 15 to 16 dates. Surely better than trying to squeeze postponed fixtures into an already hectic programme of games.

Santa2012 I think the cup ties should be played on a Sunday and keep the league games for the Saturday would free up a lot of time. Those who don't want to play cup games on a Sunday don't enter at the start of the year.

IBA cup ties should always b played on a Saturday. Only in exceptional circumstances should a Sunday be even be considered. No one has answered my question about the number of Sunday games played!!!!!!

Santa I can only comment about PGL senior 1 because that's where my team play, I know of at least 3 clubs who have played league games this year on a Sunday they are Dunbarton, Falls and Ewarts. It seems to have worked out very well, for instance Dunbarton didn't have to rush up to play Falls on a Tuesday night through rush hour traffic to fulfil their fixture , anything that enhances our game surely must only be a good thing.

Have to agree with Doc. Seen a few teams play matches on a Sunday, and if it suits teams to play on this day, then so be it. I for 1 would be in favour, as the Tuesday nights fixtures for example are a nightmare for people who work, and not to mention teams that are playing away from home as the fixtures always seem to be made so that it's 2 teams that are miles apart !

This year has been a particularly busy year for PGL bowlers, PGL cups, IBA cups, Inter association games British isles championships and the common wealth games, Why not throw in a couple of Sunday dates to relieve the pressure on our bowlers , especially those who are chosen for international duty. That way the bowlers chosen to represent us at the highest level are given time to rest before having to jump back into league games. Midweek re -scheduled games can be a burden on clubs to field 16 players to fulfil that fixture , with work commitments etc depending where that game is you may have to be on the road at 4.45pm to play your 6.30 game,
