FROM THE LEAGUE SECRETARY
There has been some confusion about matches postponed because players or officials are involved in the Junior Inter-Association matches on 18th July, especially as matches are being played on the following Tuesday. If the match cannot be accommodated on the Tuesday night because a league fixture has already been scheduled to be played on that night, then the match should be rearranged within 28 working days.

By my reckoning then for Saturday 18/7/2015, the fixtures would go like this
DIVISION ONE
Ballymena v OB will move to Tuesday 21/7
UTA v Ards will stay as it is
Dunbarton v Willowfield will be off but cant go to the Tuesday night as Dunbarton B are at home in Division 4 scheduled game (28 days)
Pickie v Larne will move to Tuesday 21/7
Belmont v Ewarts will be off as IA Series at Belmont. This cant go to Tuesday night as Belmont C and Belmont D both at home in scheduled games (28 days)
DIVISION 2 Comber v Mossley will be off but cant go to Tuesday night as Comber B at home in scheduled league game (28 days)

No idea about the games for Tuesday night past but clearly the PG ties contributed to the confusion.
It is now clear from the above post from Bri on behalf of League Secretary that games affected by Inter Association or BIBC Series go to the Tuesday night following the original date and the 28 day rule will only come into affect if there is already a scheduled league game on that Tuesday or if it is the PGL Championship Semi Finals.
Perhaps the ruling on website or year book can be made crystal clear ad some have interpreted it differently from others and perhaps the Officials could be clarified also because at minute going by the wording there is no mention of an IBA Secretary, IBA Treasurer or PGL Selector.

Sorry I haven't been on to clarify things, just been v busy lately. Won't even get a POV on the website this week.
Regarding clarification of the wording around selectors, yes it should read PG selector/IBA selector. There is already a revision planned for that later this year, through AGM, and IBA Office Bearers are considered in that as well.
Yes the PG Senior Fours and U25 singles ties meant that all 3 matches due to be played on Tuesday night had some club involvement in those ties. In hindsight that Tuesday should've been kept clear and the Internationals must be considered when the whole timetable is being drawn up next year.

Thanks for that Brian.
Teatime, i don't agree with claiming of points either and I'm sure games weren't played on tuesday night because of pg ties / rule confusion. I doubt very much a game wasnt played because some players were tired and needed a break.
Yes, i agree dates are very congested during May and June and obviously the better players who do well in PG comps, IA or BIBC representatives will be busier than others but that goes hand in hand with being successful

For three matches not to be played the only common denominator is that all three matches had someone involved in a Senior rink or Under 25 PG tie and as this is the first and hopefully last time this scenario crops up then I'm going to go for that as personally i don't see how the actual rule re IA and BIBC postponements can be misinterpreted to mean anything other than what it says.
The 28 day rule that covers any other reason may then have come in to affect to cover the hopefully one off PG tie scheduling.
The real reason as you say maybe something completely different but I'm willing to go with the above

Bowlers should have more consideration for their clubs. I mean having the audacity to take a holiday during this busy period.

As stated on my earlier post this game is scheduled for saturday 18 july and no reason to suggest it should not be played on that date at present. Neither team has TWO OR MORE players involved as either player or official at JuniorIA series

A quick read of the blue book or website rules should sort out any possible confusion

The simple truth boys is that there are too many disruptions to the League Program played by the many for the Cups,Internationals,Associations,Championships and Other Representative games of the few.Including the weeks break we will have clocked up at least 4 blank Saturdays this season
