Yep. There was a rule passed at 2014 AGM. nipgl.co.uk/rules-governing-league-championships/It's rule 12 (d) If the match scratched occurs in August or September a further three points shall be deducted from the team’s accumulated league points for the following league season. In the previous few seasons there had been matches conceded by teams that had nothing to play for that could've impacted division winners.

Rule 12(d) appears to cover this. Matches scratched in August and September will incur a points deduction in the next season. Presumably to ensure all games are played and no one gets an unfair advantage because of one team having nothing too play for. By all accounts, the Belmont A team had nabbed some Belmont C players due to unavailability and Belmont D players will only play for that team most of the time. Just bad luck I guess.

Repaying a favour presumably after Belmont C nabbing Belmont A players the other week.
